Sled Block three

Kein Talent. Nur Wiederholung.

No talent. Just repetition.

High-performance coach

Sina Pagel

Who I am

80% is in your head.

The other twenty is the bit everyone posts about.

I am Sina. Twenty-six, Berlin, two sessions most days, because I love this more than I love being comfortable. Six race starts in my first triathlon season, a marathon and a half Ironman coming in September. I coach a small group of people who want to get shit done and still remember why moving felt fun in the first place.

What I do

Meet your strongest self.

Three things get built, in every package, whether you are chasing a first HYROX or a first Ironman.

THE ENGINE

Endurance · HYROX, triathlon, marathon

THE ENGINE

Race-specific conditioning that is planned, boring and relentless. Zone 2 you will not enjoy, intervals you will remember, and a build that peaks on the day of your event rather than six weeks before it.

THE STRENGTH

Strength · Berlin, or wherever you are

THE STRENGTH

Strength that survives contact with fatigue: lifting that holds your form together at the end of a race, not just in a fresh set on a Tuesday. Programmed around your travel, not against it.

THE HEAD

Mindset · the eighty per cent

THE HEAD

The part almost nobody trains. Pacing decisions when it hurts, self-talk that is not a lie, and the specific minute in your event where people quietly give up. We rehearse it until it is familiar.

01 04

How I do it

Do it anyway.

Four things, in this order. None of it is secret and none of it is comfortable.

01

An honest baseline

We test before we plan. Engine, strength, movement, sleep, what you actually eat in a normal week. No flattery in the numbers – it is far easier to be brave about a real starting point than a polite one.

02

Train the tired state

Racing is not a fresh effort, it is a tired one. So we train tired on purpose: legs already gone, breathing already wrong, form under threat. You learn what you can still do when nothing feels available.

03

Do it anyway

Your programme has to survive a delayed flight, a launch week and a bad night. Sessions are built to shrink instead of disappear, and the rules hold when you are tired. Motivation is not part of the plan.

04

The last twenty per cent

Race day is rehearsed, not hoped for. Pacing, fuelling, the moment it goes wrong and what you do in the ninety seconds after. By the start line, none of it is new information.

Who this is for

Six places. You will know pretty fast if it is you.

High standards. Genuinely good fun, most days.

Yes

  • You want to get shit done and you are bored of doing it alone.
  • You are already fit, and quietly irritated that you have stopped getting better.
  • There is a date in your calendar that scares you slightly.
  • You want the standard held at the exact moment you get reasonable about lowering it.

No

  • You want a plan emailed to you and nobody checking whether you did it.
  • You want to be told the session was great when it was not.
  • You negotiate with your own rules and call it flexibility.
  • The whole point is weight loss. Other coaches are better at that than I am.

What it costs

Three ways in.

Same standard in all three. The difference is how much of your week I am in.
